I have been working on design options for stairs in Revit 2013. I had duplicated floor plan view that I had used to to do the stairs which was modeled as in assembled stair. However, the stair up arrow seems to only show up in the view it was created in even though its set to show in all views. I'm now having it show as my primary in my main floor plan. VG is set to automatic (stair is primary), stair arrows all turned on. Still arrows only show in one place. Please tell me that I dont have to recreate the stair in the view that I want just to show the arrow. Thanks.

Also I have tried checking the view plane and it is set to the default level offsets which are not above the stair.

I really dispise the built in arrow so this is never an issue for me.  Text works.

if you are using component stairs look at your ribbon: annotate: stair path.

it is now its own family type that is view dependant and you have several options. the nice part is being able to display it different ways, the downside is remembering to add one in each view. hth

I see what you mean about the the stair path being its own annotation family. I got that to work. Thanks again.
