Hi,

I am a new Revit user and have recently joined the Revitcity community. I am very eager to get started with Revit but having succesfully installed Revit 2012 I seem to have no families (doors, windows etc)! I have seen similar posts with advise to go to 'Options' in the drop down 'R' tab and correct the path for where the families are located. I have tried this but all the family folders are empty! Can anyone please advise?

Many thanks

Carterred

Also when I start Revit this message appears:

the defalult program file you have specified does not exisit : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RAC2012\Templates\UK\DefaultGBRENU.rte

to change the default file path , from the applications menu select Options, and thenthe file locations tab.

I have tried this but dont know where to find the correct folders that will load the families. All the folders I come accross seem empty!

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and still nothing!

I'm not sure about the installation process so I don't know what you did wrong.  If you did install the families (I think there may be an option not to), then you can do a windows search and find the correct path.  IF you can't find them, then it looks like you need to re-install.
