I am an architecture professor looking for a BIM model of a residential house for academic use......would anyone know where i could get one? Thanks Michael

sorry mate, I don't do residential... Smile you could put a simple house together very quickly though. can you use Revit?

Same here...don't do residential. If you are an instructor teaching Revit you might be able to get a sample house through Autodesk. Tom

there is an excellent book on Residential using Revit: "Residential Design Using Revit Building 8" by Daniel John Stine worth to get it...give it a try you might end up having your residential model! Hope that helps, Kal

I'm an instuctor certified with the State of Wisoonsin. Consider going to this page to get Revit courseware with datasets that you can use in your classroom. While this CD is availabe to instructors in the US/Canada, there is an email address to contact an educational dealer in your country. Check out the listings on the left side of the screen on this page for additional courseware and datasets that you can download and might meet your needs. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=4356896 If you have Revit, there are tutorials that ship with the product that you can access through the HELP pulldown menu. There are a few residential models included that would eliminate starting from scratch. If you don't have Revit, you can download and install a trial version from the Autodesk website.
