I did a quick search and did not come up with a usable answer.
Where is the area button? In Autocad I use area every day. I design in places where all the square footages on the site and for the building need to be accounted for. My work around has been to export the Revit project to CAD and then doing my take-offs. Seems Revit would have this... I just can't find it??
Also, I create my rooms and get the areas for them since they are enclosed areas, what do I do about porches, verandas, entrys, & pool decks that are not enclosed areas? Export to CAD?

In this order make. . . .
1. Area Plan
2. Area Boundary
3. Area
Works just fine. No need to export. I'm sure searching the help menu for 'area' would turn up something ??
