Hey,
I am working on a large project, and the keynotes are messing my drawings up because if elements are moved slightly or the properties/keynote value are changed, the keynotes turn to question marks. Sometimes if I move the keynote slightly it will pick up what element it is on and correct itself, other times I have to delete the keynote and reapply it.
Another example is our reflected ceiling plans were all set up and keynoted, then someone overlaid the plan onto the RCP (greyed out) I guess so it reads better... but they keynotes stuffed up and some of them decided to pick up the greyed out floor plan elements rather than the ceiling...
Tags don't seem to have this problem, is there a way to make sure the keynote stays attached to the element you originally selected? It means I keep having to check through the drawings making sure there are no question marks/wrong keynotes. It could potentially cause major problems if things like wrong timber types and paint finishes are built!

More information.
Are you using keynotes by element, material or user keynotes?
Are you using free end or attached leaders or no leaders?
Are people moving things and using the "detach" option?

Ok,
We're using a mixture of all 3 keynote types, mostly element and material.
Most of the time no leader is used
It's only me and 1 other guy working on the project, and no things are not being detached.

You can always move objects that have associated keynotes and the keynotes will move with them. If you move the object and pick disjoin - all associated tags and dimesions will become disassociated.
Note, if an object is turned off in VG or hidden in view, the tag will go away until it is turned back on.
Many new users fail to use the selection set filter to see what they have picked when moving or deleting objects. They don't see the object so they don't even know it. Always check your selection set filter.
Also, if you are purposely moving multiple objects at the same time, be aware that some objects can only move in one direction while others might only move in the other. Many users simply click on disjoin and then they can move the entire set... but they lose all associated tags - dimensions. A better solution is to split your selection set into two groups and move them seperately.
Finally - you say these objects are moving slightly. How could they be doing that ... not on their own. Turn off press and drag on the lower right corner of your screen.
