Hi All,
I'm looking to see if my idea to achieving our presentation style is correct or if I'm missing something. I'm working in structure and linking in the architects coordinated Revit model. In say a ground floor/foundation plan we would want to see the Architects external walls and internal walls over for line loads whilst seeing our structural slab and RC beams/caps under dashed.
First I need to be in coordination mode to see the architects model and Hidden style. Now the beams under the slab disappear so I make the slab transparent, this makes all the beam lines solid. I use VG projection override on the beams/caps to make them all hidden. I could use the hidden line tool but this could be a lot of clicks to make.
Now all my foundation beams out side of the slab we would normally show solid and thicker so I have to use the line tool and select each one to change. In addition where a beam is under and outside the slab I would have to draw a detail line over the hidden line type to change that section of beam.
Is there an easier or better way of doing this?
Any help would be appreciated.
