I have tried the Load Family command whereby I am tryig to load the open web joist I downloaded from RevitCITY. I was successful on one project, now on this new project  get the following.....

Some or all of the family files you selected cannot be loaded. You must choose family files of the catagory Structural trusses. Do you want or retry loading a new set of files.

When I try to go thru the STRUCTURAL tab and using TRUSS it asks to load structural trusses in the project since one does not exist. I say yes and import and the same message above results?

It worked on one project but not this one

I now go into the other project. Call up the joist to be edited in the FAMIY mode. nce in the family mode I then LOAD FAMILY into the new project and it works.

Don't understand the mechanics of it, but would like to understand more. Anyone out there can shed some light on this?
