How do I make a room tag that can have multiple lines of txt such as

mech/

storage

 

instead of mech/storage

This is one of those areas that can be very complicated.

 

You can add as many lines as you want by adding additional parameters but I don't believe that is the question you are asking.  The problem is what you show here may not be what you want to show in a schedule and the schedule uses the same information. 

 

This tag uses the "Room Name" parameter and is a fixed length.  So if you enter "mech/               storage", it will probably stack. (<< Notice the spaces)  Do you really want that name in your room schedule?

 

Your solutions are: 

  1. Create a special tag that is short enough that it will break this in two lines without additional spaces.
  2. Add additional parameters to rooms like Tag line 1 and Tag line 2, then create a room tag that reads these two parameters instead of the room name.

The problem with #1, is that you may need several tags of different lengths in your project.  And #2 is not automatic.  If you change the room name, you have to remember to change these special tag values.

You can also just adjustt the size of the text box.

jpmays - That was the answer #1 above  .......but it does come with problems as I also wrote.
