REVIT 2012

So we have a 4" slab with 4" abc underneath.  We attached the slab edge turn down to the bottom of the slab.  The issue is that the abc now overlaps the turn down everywhere.  Is there a way to cut the abc with the slab edge turndown?  The only solution we have right now is to cut profile the abc in the views or create a in place model sweep and join to the slab.  We would prefer not to have to do either and just have the abc react to the turndown slab edge.
