This is my first revit project, and it's been a bit of a crash course so far. I have 2 issues that are hindering my progress:
1. How do I put a break in a part of the wall? As the first picture shows, I have a steel column inside a wall, but the stud is running through it. Is there a way to break it partially, where the stud ends on each side of the column? This problem is also apparent in section view as shown in the other pictures. I'd like to do this without using a different wall type. Before, I just made a wall type with brick, airspace, and sheathing, but I find that this is unacceptable.
2. I am having issues placing a joist. No matter what I put in properties, I cannot get the joist to rest on the beam, what I have shown is the highest it will let me put it and if I try to manually move it, I get the error as shown in picture 3.
