I've been using Revit 8 Building for about a week now, seems to be just what I need, but....I've tried to cut an opening through a first floor, all seems to be OK but I cannot see throught the opening I've created, The outline is visible and will show a depth if I hover over it, I can see it on the cross section view, but why can't I see through the opening in the 3D view? Is there a view command (oops slipped back into AutoCAD mode there for a bit) or a box that needs ticking somewhere, must be obvious for all you old hands I bet, but its driving me mad.....

We would need more information to answer your question.

How did you cut your opening?  - I prefer to just include it in the floor sketch rather than using an opening family.

I can see through a floor hole.  Make sure your view depth is deep enpugh to actually see something below.

Yep, I'm well low enough, can see the perimeter of the hole but the interior of perimeter is "filled in" although if I hover over it, it highlights as a opening???

I'm sorry but you have done something wrong because this does work.

Could it be that you have a ceiling below the floor that is hiding the objects below?

Recheck your view depth.

Make sure something is there to see.

Cut a section through the opening to verify it is there.
