Just finished my first home in Revit 2012. A nag I have is that a typ 3'X6' window will show as say "40" and will be "40" every instance it shows in the plan. My problem is that I have to do pressure calcs on all the windows. So all the windows are different in that sense. What I would like to do is have each window be it's individual tag. Is that possible?

click on your window tag, hit 'edit family'. now click on the text and hit 'edit label'. I'm thinking that your tag is calling out the 'type mark', if so, remove that and add in "mark". Reload the tag family into your project. Then in your properties menu, give each window an individual Mark number.

I hope this is what you are getting at

Excelent!! Thank You.

Now is there a way to show them tagged with letters instead of numbers? I have tried setting the tag label to a letter but that doesn't seem to work? How about now showing all the windows on the floor plan in order so that 1 is next to 2 is next to 3 etc? Or is this a manual thing. I tried to just delete the tag then add it again, but it adds with the old value

I think the tag only works manually; the only object that I know of that work with that kind of intellegence are grids lines but I may be wrong; I do all the numbering manually. As for the output, letters or numbers shouldn't matter, its all just text. Are you maybe referring to the tag as it shows up in 'Family Editor'? the number shown there is just a sample value.
