I'm not sure if REVIT will allow me to do this or not. I have a 24ga section I need to make a column family but can't draw it because REVIT's lines are too thick in sketch mode. Is there a workaround to this?

turn on thin lines, or change you view's scale to be much more detailed, like 3".
TL will toggle thin lines.

nevermind. Just needed to change the scale of the view. Sorry I didn't think of it sooner.
