I cannot load a profile family for a wall sweep.  First there is no  to load  a new family  while in the properties.  I tried loading the family while in 'place a component'  and' model in place'.  The first gives me the message 'cannot load, must choose family of the same category'.  The second loads the family, but it does not show up when i try to change the profile in the wall sweep.

Is this a 2012 problem?

I cannot figure it out.  I went into 2011 and had no problem loading the profiles.

I think it has to do with having the hardware acceleration on/off.  Other wierd stuff was happening when i had it on: like I could not select a family (door, window) and of course the realistic view would work, but when I turn it off all is good with the exception of the realistic view not working.

So I turned the hardware acceration off and opened the file again and easily loaded the profile and no problems.

can't say I am loving 2012.

I turned off the "Hardware Acceleration", create a new file and did exactly the same thing, no problems....

Typhoon- maybe you wouldn't mind helping me figure out

why i cannot post images with my replies.. also i can

only post comments to the gallery around 3 times out of 10..

images to the forum about 1 time out of 20.. it seems like

i started having these problems about the time my account

was messed with- but i have no idea if that actually had

anything to do with it.. of course i know exactly how to

post an image properly- i've been doing it here for 5 years..

i'm thinking maybe some of those revit city bugs may have

gotten into my account somehow- i don't know.. any ideas

would be greatly appreciated..

Well, like you can see I don't have any problem with that issue, maybe because the browser I use (Firefox 3.6.17).

WWhub told you once this: "The rules for the size of attached images is shown when you attach them.  Anything larger will not attach.  Small jpg or gif files are preferred.

Another issue for posters is that our site does not yet support Google Chrome or the latest edition of Firefox.  The site owners are working on this."

Maybe that's the problem you have.

yeah maybe revit city can just keep telling me over and over that i'm not reading the attachment file size limit and i'll just keep telling them that i've been attaching images for the last five years and i know how it works.. and while we are at it we can just blow a historic opportunity to make something important out of revit city by acting like this to each other.. time to wake up maybe..

BTW Typoon- i don't really think many users CARE about "chrome" or "foxfire" and i think we all have more important things to do than push the site owners to be "working on this".. this forum software has enough problems without that kind of crap..

if any third-party browser is not intelligent enough to access a web site on its own- then it makes no sense to expect a webmaster to modify their site to accommodate it.. that's like the people who keep hounding autodesk to make revit run on some variation of the old UNIX..
