Hi.

I have experienced problems with arc lines in 2D drawings, especially in window profiles when I have multiple arcs on one or more profiles. When I draw the profile and arcs, everything works just fine, but then at some point the arc lines are replaced by straight lines that tangent the arc.

At first I thought it had to do with some graphic compensation, and that the arcs would print out just as they were drawn, but unfortunately thats not the case.

I create profiles as .rfa std., and in the profile family there are no problems with the arcs. But as soon as I load it into my window family the lines convert ? - Note that in 3D mode the lines look just perfect, and there is nothing wrong with the shape except in section/plan/front views.

Ofcourse checked all my view settings and so on, detail levels etc., but can't see what I'm missing.

I hope some of u guys can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

BR/

Jacob Wiinholt

This looks like the arc element might be just too small.  Did you import this from CAD by chance?

No I made the profiles af families and applied to my window family.

The profiles / arcs looks just fine when I open the profile family (attached)

Was the view you showed a small sacle view or something like 6"=1'?

You will find that Revit does not like very small units in small scale views.  And besides that... You can't see the problem in a printed view, just on the computer screen when you zoom in closer than the view is set to show at.

It's not the scale or the detail level. I've tried a bunch of different settings but the arcs still don't change.  (shown views are 1:5)

And as you can see on the attached .pdf, the straight lines does print instead of the actual arcs! -otherwise I wouldn't have posted the question.
