Hi guys,

looking for some help, im relatively new to revit, learning only the basics at college in Revit architecture 2011. I am having major trouble trying to load a curtain wall door family type into my project, to start with an error would pop up saying that i should check the family properties and it cant load the file. After trying to load this through different methods such as doors, windows, component and also using the insert tab. I am desperate as my project must be submitted next week. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Most of these problems occur by being in the wrong view or action tab when tring to laod the object.  In addition to that, a curtainwall door is not a normal wall hosted door.  It is a curtainwall panel.  To place this door, pick a CW panel and swap it with your loaded door.
