Hi,

I have used reference planes and the cut geometry tool to cut one beam to another.  It shows up great in the 3d view.  It does not show up in the section view.  However, if I nudge the section forward or backward in plan then there is a very brief time when the cut geometry beings to show.  However, it still does not show completely.  Does anyone know why a cut geometry would show in 3d view but not in section view?  Thanks for any suggestions.  I am using Revit Structure 2009.

I'm having the same problem with a cut counter.  Looks great in 3d but the cut doesn't show in plan view.  Help.

Have you tried changing the section view from course to medium to fine?

Also, open the family up and there should be a checkbox that says, "Cut family in plan" in the properties.  Uncheck that box, save and reload.
