I can not figure out how to make this window family cut in plan.... it is clearly marked to cut in plan/rcp.

I have attached the family file.  Can someone see if they can figure it out?

I only took a quick look at this.  Your problem might be the elements above the main window.  Especially the solid.  

Is that solid part of the wall?  If so, then why not use two void cuts instead of the opening cut and leave this as wall.

The solid part of the wall is brick soldier course on the outside and regular wall on the inside.  I needed to differ between the two so I created two solids (one inside one outside). I could set two diff materials for each and the elevations in my project would be correct (vetical lines for soilder course).

I tried deleting the solid anyways and created an opening that was two loops.  One just around the bottom window and one for the top window.  This left wall between the two windows like you were suggesting I believe.  After I re-loaded into my project I still had the same problem.

Is it because I have two windows on top of each other?  Whats is weird is that the wndw family cuts correctly in the RCP....
