I created a wall. I used a wall type from revit's lib. I modified the structure to unlock the region of the exterior material in vertical section. I created a material take-off view and used the "wall material area take off"

The area of the exterior material changes as I move the region of the wall section up or down, but the area of the interior finish changes in proportion to the change as well. The total area of the two equals 2 times the original wall area.

This is causing inaccuracies in the quantities in the table. Whats going on?
