Hello Tommy.

If you click on the Shadow on/off button there is a Graphic Display Option...

Select that. In there you will find a Cast Shadow check box with a Lighter/Darker setting that is set to 50 by default. Adjust it to your liking.

sorry i havent been very clear.

i can already adjust the shadow brightness.

when i activate shadows all the linework of the 3d model goes from black to grey, purely because shadows are activated and irrespective of the shadow density / brightness.

it is this halftone appearance i want to control, i.e. i want my 3d models and elevations to appear to have black linework, not halftone / grey.

how do i fix this?

thanks againtom

I don't think you will be able to do what you want.  Once shadows are turned on, the view will have to be printed as raster rather than vector.
