On a 64-bit laptop with Vista that was running 2010 just fine, I added a monitor for additional display space. It seemed to be working fine until Revit started "freezing" as if trapped in an edit mode, not allowing me to even save to get out of it. I was able to zoom in and out with the scroll wheel, and even open new views, but nothing was selectable and no tools were operating. Disconnecting the monitor resolved the problem. Is this a video card issue? I was connected thru the VGA port and not HDMI, so could that be part of the problem? Whatever it is, it seems contained within Revit. Thanks for any advice.

You said that it freezes in edit mode.... Does revit work fine if you are just working out side of an edit/group mode? If this is so, this is because your buttons to finish the group, sketch, etc have became undocted. Go to "View" - "User Interface" - Check "Recent Files" - Click "Modify" - "User Interface" - Uncheck "Recent Files" and your buttons will come back. My appoligies if this is not the issue you explained.
