ferol active Joined: Mon, Oct 31, 2005 1 Posts No Rating	hallo, I am trying Revit 8 - i have problem: Is possible use DXF (3ds) for creating own library? - for example I have perfect model of sofa in DXF - but after import into REVIT a cant use it (assign material to layers a so on....)

TomDorner active Joined: Sun, Apr 25, 2004 1207 Posts	For 3D objects DWG or DXF it is best to insert them into a family then insert that family into your Revit model. There is a great tutorial on this site: http://www.revitcity.com/tutorials/how_to_grow_your_family/ HTH Tom
