I used to think they are identical, just the crop may not be the same. Recently I found at least when you hide one object by right click and hide it only happen in one view, it's not shared between parent view and dependent view. I remember noticing some other inconsistency but slip out of my mind now. What are really shared or not shared between parent view and dependant view?
