Ok, so my firm is doing shop drawings of rebar in revit, and it seems to work pretty well, but there is one major flaw that I can not seem to fix 100%.  Because of the close quaters of the bars they tend to snap to each other, espicially L shaped bars where the short leg snaps to a remote bar which then gives it a dimension like 1' 2 7/156" and I can go into the schedule and change it to 1' 2" but it will automatically snap back to the other object forcing the odd length. 

I have somewhat fixed the issue by turning off "Snap to Remote Objects" but this does not always work, and it checks back on the next day.  Does anyone know how I can keep this from happening, it is really annoying because if forces us to group all L and U shaped bars (if grouped they do no attach themselves to other bars/items) which means our project will have well over 500 groups in the end which I forsee being a huge issue with file size and proformance. Not to mention how much I dislike having to go in and out of groups all the time.
