Hi there -

I'm trying to make a spar for a tent structure that is detailed using stainless steel at the top and wood for the spar itself. I need to split or somehow erase the bottom of the stainless detail, (as this is how it has been designed).

I've created a void, but its not related just to the stainless detail - it hides part of the wooden spar when I join the two together which isn't what I want.

How can I make a horizontal cut into my revolve? Both revolves are tapered...not sure if this is worth knowing or not...see images below:

Many thanks

Did you try the "Un-cut geometry" tool? Select the void then select the obj. you don't want to cut.

The uncut geometry doesn't seem to work either - it won't cut or do anything....plus I don't want to uncut anything, I'd like to make the void attach to the lower half of the spar and the void cut the upper half of the spar so that it is split in two parts, rather than 3......any more ideas?
