how can i change dimensions so that they round to the closes 1/16" instead of the closest 1/8"?

not sure if this works in imperial units, but you can control rounding of dimensions either at project level or per instance. for an individual dimension, choose it, go to properties, edit/new etc and create a new type. then modify the 'units format' to get what you want. in metric revit we can round to decimal points.
but as others on this site say - maybe you should create accurately in the first place?
