I'm trying to create a Flood Legend that I can insert into a project, The Flood Legend would have some general static or "dumb" text" but along with that I would have certain fields such as Folio, Plot, Block, Plat book that would propogate with the information I have in "Project Information" of my particular Revit project. Much the same way In the same way that the "Project Address" label works in Title Blocks and that label is now populated with the Address in your "Project Information", I started with the Generic Annotation Family that I could load into any project and be able to drag it right unto a sheet. . I've managed to add all my desired project parameters to my Project Information tab such as Folio, Lot, Block, Plat Book and Subdivision, etc. Only problem is, that when I do drag and drop that Flood Legend on a sheet, all of those parameters come out with the sample value I initially put in the family or just a question mark. In testing this out I opened up one of the out of the box Title Block Families. I copied the Project name label and just pasted in the center of the title block, but then edited the label to instead reflect a shared parameter I created called "Subdivision". When I brought this modified title block into the project, Subdivision did reflect the Subdivision number I called out in the Project Information Tab. Must this be solely a shared parameter? And why can I not create a shared parameters in the "Generic Annotation" family. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
