I have a sloped roof interrupted by a wall. It is an offset gable, so one plane of the roof is continuous and the opposite slope of the roof is interrupted by the wall. The lower roof stops at the edge of the upper roof overhang instead of extending to the wall. Should I create the roofs separately and then join them, or is there an easier fix?

Yes you will probably have to use two roof in this situation.
