Hi,

I need a little help with design options in my project.

I have basic model. Than i created 3 (A;B;C) design options in 1 set. I selected some parts from the basic model and added them into design option "A". But then i realized that i selected 1 part that i need in basic model. I know i can do "Undo". But is there any way to put that part back to basic model ?

I found option to put whole option "A" but destroying B and C in process. I just need to give the part back to basic model.

And second problem:

I created for example 1 type of door and the other design option are wider doors. But i need to put some text to describe them. Is there a way to add text fields into design options?

tnx fro any help or ideas

You can copy paste from the option to the main model.

Text is view dependent (unless its a symbol).  With design options, you will want to set up which option shows in you VG sttings.  Then just use multiple views with the different options and place associated text/tags/dimensions in those views.

But when i do:

1) Selection

2) Copy

3) change Design option to option "B" (from A)

Copy/Paste option disappears and the only way is to "CTRL-V", it wouldn't be so bad, but when i do it, i dont have the option topaste it on the same place from which i was copying that.

Any way how to resolve this ?

In RAC 2011 You have this option (to paste at the same place).

When using the paste comand you do have the align option wich can be used for the whole selection in the older versions.

ah, ok

I use RAC 2010, and i know the align but its not here for copying from 1 option to another, only in simple copying.

I ordered Trial for 2011 since we're not on subscription for RAC yet, hope it will solve my issue.

tnx for help
