When i try to open the file I get "AN UNKNOWN ERROR OCCURED WHILE ACCESSING file name"  When i try to Audit i get the same message.  What the heck?  This has never happened.  I am working on 2010 and have recently upgraded to a 64 bit machine.  Please help!

Maybe the File is corrupted and Revit can't deal with that, send the file to Autodesk, maybe they can fix the issue...

Make sure before submitting to ADSK that it is not a Windows permission problem.  Also make sure you are using the File>Open dialog box and browsing to the location on your new machine.  Also you didn't mention if this is a stand-alone .rvt file, a local file or a central file.  If any of the latter two it is a new ball game.

I ran the Audit twice and it still gave me the error message.  Then all of a sudden I was showing the IT guy and it worked.  I have no clue what happened.  I did purg the file and saved an addtional copy just in case.  Hopefully this won't happen again.

Thank you,
