Hi All,

I'm in need of some help. I work in a department where we only use our own custom-made walls. Everyone on the team needs to have a copy of the walls that I have custom-defined using Revit. However, I can't find the location on the hard drive where these custom wall types would be located. I looked in the imperial library where all the other types - doors, windows, specialty equipment, plumbing fixtures, etc - would be located but the wall types couldnt be found in there. Does anyone have any help for me as to how I could locate my custom wall types on the hard drive?

 Sincerely.

Walls, roofs, floors, stairs and a few more are "SYSTEM FAMILIES", look in your HELP what is that, you don't have a template file like doors or windows with your walls, what you can do is: open a project with your default Template and Create those walls in there OR Copy and Paste to that project OR open a project where you have ALL those walls and use the "Transfer project standard" and choose only the "Walls", then save that with type ".RTE" that's a template file, in this case, every time you create a new project (using this template) you have ALL your "custom-Made walls".

We have a project in a resource file that has nothing but our wall types all setup complete with legend views that can be transfered to projects as we need them.  We do this because we have more than 100 types already established and it would be foolish to have them all in our template.

Thank you both very much for your help. I havent had to do that before and I had seen the 'transfer project standards' option but had never used it. I will give it a try.

 Thank you once again.
