Does anybody have any idea on how I can create a detail note that references another detail for typical information.  We reference other details that have typical information, but this is just a dumb reference, if I move or re-number the referenced detail I have to change the note with the new detail number. I am thinking that this note should be similiar to a section cut in that if you move or re-number the referenced detail , the note would change accordingly.

what if you make a callout that references another view? you would have to make a new callout family that just looks like text and doesn't have the dashed line bubble or anything.

I'd rather be riding at whistler. or highland. thats good too.

Although some people don't like this, you can use a detail callout that references other view.....(make the callout window so small that its just a dot at the edge of the callout bubble).

WWHub, suggestion is great but it doe not work for plan callouts. Plan callouts are a system family that only allow (1) Type. So either all you plan callouts are with a text callout, or with a bubble callout. : (

JDAGEN,

I use this for plan callouts as well so I don't know what you are saying.
