RAC 2010

i want to save a view.. just one view- a very tiny .rvt file

that i can email of the one view..

the help says i can only save a 2D view- i want to save a 3D view..

when i click on save to library>save views- i get the thing you

see in this image.. it only has SHEETS.. but notice that drop-down

says show MODEL views- but it does not show any model views

to save.. i did save a floor plan sheet- and when i opened that

single sheet file- i was able to see the floor plan on a sheet and

hit the 3D button and it became the 3D model BUT it was strange-

it was transparent and shaded at the same time.. yes it would

render.. but what is going on here?

Obviously the show model views only filter does not work correctly.

Unlike drafting views, any 3D view is the complete model so file size reduction will be only 2D elements and views.  All families used in the project will still be in the export.

Because your floor plan is just a view of your 3D model, you still have the full model.
