I am adding foundations to my floor plan and am curious if anyone has created a foundation stem wall with a typical spread footing attached to it. I was thinking this wall should act just like adding a footing to a wall, just pick the wall and it (stem wall and footing) attach to the base of the wall we pick. Crazy...? thanks

What you are doing is correct because when you go to schedules, everything is in the right category, BUT, what you ask is possible to create like you can see in the images below, create a Profile family (can be parametric if you want), then load into the project and duplicate a foundation wall, then add a "Sweep" with that profile, adjust the values (offsets and so one) and you have what you want.....
