Howdy

Using 2009 building.

In my Elevation views I would like the items to show up dashed and I would like the Earth poche to show up as well.  I have achieved this, but the Earth poche hides the foundation items.

1. Is there a way to set the transparency of the Earth poche so my foundations show up in elevaton view along with the Earth poche?

2. here is a tough one. I am using a ICF wall continuous from footing (below grade) up to my roof. Can you set the Topo surface to act line a cut line such that items below it appear dashed, even if it is a continuous wall, which it is?

thanks again

Use the "Show Hidden Lines" tool or the "Linework" tool....

thanks, looks like you are using 2010. I am 2009 so I highlited the topo line in my elevation and right clicked. Eliment properties, set it to transparent. Seems to work so far. Just drives me nuts that this is not standard. What Architect does not want the foundation system to show up as dashed on his elevations??

As to my wall showing up dashed, i guess i will have to draw two seperate walls, one from footing up to grade (+ 6"Winking and than one up to structure. Or i could try a stack wall but the wall tags never work correctly on those guys.
