hi, Im new to revit and am working on a industrial type building. The issue i have been unable to sort out involves the placement of windows on top of a dwarf wall around my project. ive currently got my cavity work going up to 2300mm so that i could insert the windows but am unable to reduce the height of the walls down to around 600mm as requested from our clien. to be more decriptive, the building is clad from 600mm upto soffit and i had cut through the cladding to show the widow from the cavitywork behind. the problem come from the internall view and sections where the client is not happy with full hight brick work being shown incase of confusion with the contractor. Please can somebody help with this because ive been stuck on this since before xmas and my dead line is fast approaching. Thanks in advance Dave p.s im working on revit 2010 on vista

I think nobnody responded to your questions because they didn't understand them. I know I didn't. You say "mount the windows in the cladding, if so how?" and you say "Make the windows free standing if this is possible". I'm sorry but this just doesn't make sense. Windows can not be free standing.... and they can't be both. When you say mounted in cladding ... you have cladding with a backup block wall. If these are seperate walls, just host the window in the cladding. If this is a depth placement issue - wher the window is in the wall, that issue can be addressed in how the family is built. Not all windows have an adjustable depth location parameter. You write: "Make the wall hidde/invisible above 600mm?" This question is still not clear. If you don't want the wall above 600m then don't put it there.
