I am trying to change a column grid bubble on an enlarged elevation from the actual column line # to a bubble that reads "CL".  I have tried to load in the "Column Grid - Circle" family from the "Imperial Library --> Annotation" folder into Revit, but when I do so, it shows up as an option in neither DETAIL COMPONENTS nor SYMBOLS.

Any idea what the problem is here?  Are column grid bubble families loaded in somewhere else that I'm not thinking of?

Thanks!

 Cryingbtw, working in Revit 2009)

Is this what you mean?  If so, create a new bubble using the Grid head template, create the head that you require, load it into yor project.  Place a standard grid line in the project, go into it's properties, duplicate it and change the symbol to the one that you have created.

I have noticed that problem as well when detailing projects.  I had to turn off the grid bubble in properties and create a grid bubble that shows what I want it to show.  However, now I am having another difficult issue with grid bubbles and that is I can't duplicate an numbers or letters.  We have some clients that have numerous of building in one locations.  So originally in autocad we kept everything layed out in a few files (i.e. all the founadtion's to all the building in one file, all the framing for each level in another.) However, I'm trying move all those existing buildings in Autocad and start modeling them in Revit.  The problem I am having is that each major building started over with new grid system (a,b,c,1,2,3)  and revit doesn't like that.  Does any one know a way to work around that.
