Hi there Revit city people Can anybody know why ridge tile on a dormer roof that been attached to the main roof by the ‘Join / un join roof’ do not connect automatically to the main roof as well? And why I can not extend it by dragging the blue dot or by the temporary dimension to connect it to the main roof? I am working on REVIT 2010 and that problem never append on the advanced version of REVIT 2009. nirim

Hi there Typhoon Attached PDF image of the problem, the ridge on the right is how REVIT place the ridge and the one on the left is how it’s supposed to be, I manage to do it bi drag the blue point intuitively because I can’t snap it to anywhere (the blue point). nirim

Typhoon No, I use it as I use to do in Revit 2009 i.e. I define new type for roof fascia and instead using fascia board as a profile for the family I change the profile to profile resemble the ridge tile. As I mention earlier, in REVIT 2009 that method work fine. nirim

Yeah, must be a "bug", i don't know, it works fine if you create the gable in the main roof with "slope" but when you create the gable by "Extrusion" it don't follow the ridge to the the end....
