either ...make a couple of reference lines offset from your green lines to equal the "well" width and then use the align tool on the short wall segments of the door recess. or ...draw another reference line in centre of doorway, then use the move tool and pick the 2 short wall segments again and then select first move point and then second move point. hope that works for ya. cheers

I'm not sure of what you posted because I don't see a door. I do see what might be anarea that is setback. Is that what you are referring to? Was this made with walls or is this part of your door?

thanks Hub- yes that's a door well.. the wall is a foot thick that's why it looks narrow for a door.. but i want that part of the wall to be in the center.. i could just redraw the wall but i can't even select and delete that east wall- and i can't use the split tool or anything.. what's the deal with that?

Hub- i really messed up on this one.. it's NOT a system wall- all the walls are a generic extrusion.. i think i can deal with now.. check it out..

Holy way wacky wall batman. Why aren't you using walls? It seems like you are setting yourself up for a world of hurt here. Windows and doors are hosted by walls. You will have to paint each "wall" to get surface patterns. You can't split the extrusion without editing the in place family........I guess I'm wondering if you have a reason for not using walls. LOL, John
