Can anyone out there help me with this issue?

 I'm having a difficult time understanding multiple view creation.  When I duplicate a view, does it copy the entire model twice?  I have to create a view for a Base Bid and one for an Alternate Bid and I worked on one model, utilizing design options.... now I'm ready to creat sheets and am having difficulty understading, whether, I'm doulbing the size of the file or not.... Please help..

You have only one model...

.... then you have views of the model with 2D elements like dimensions, notes, callouts, detail elments

• you can create new views
• you can copy existing view
• you can copy existing views with detailing (all 2d stuff at copy time) 
• you can copy views as a dependent ( they will always match all 2d elements.
