I have a sloping framed roof using steel joists. My view level is set to the low point of slope. In my view range the top range is set 5'-0", cut plane is set to 4" and bottom range is set to -2'-0". The cut plane is set to 4" because I want to show cmu wall hatching. The top range is set 5'-0" to show the steel joist sloping to high point of roof. The cut plane is showing the hatch in the wall but some of my steel joist are missing and the roof deck is being cut at cut plane. I thought the purpose of the top range is to show everything 5'-0" above the associated level just not cut.
