Most of my work involves remodeling, so instead of drawing a new building from scratch I need to draw buildings where I need to represent existing measurements, which tie to wall interiors and exteriors rather than wall centers. Is there a simple way to do this? Are there tips and approaches that make revit as fast and easy to draw an existing building as it is to create a new one? Also, I have used another product for years that has the ability to establish reference points and lines that can be protected from inadvertent movement or deletion. Does Revit have this capability? TIA, Robert.

Certainly can... When you've sketched out the walls orinally in revit just dimension to there faces (change default from centrelines to faces) then lock the dimensions or pin the wall once you have it in place... HTH.
