OK, I need a little help inserting lights into a suspended acoustical ceiling tile.

I believe these lights are straight from Revit (2009) but when I insert them, my 2x2 grid goes right through them in 3D view.  Also, when I render, they do not appear to have a light source. (view is set to show complete)

any suggestions?

FYI - I have the same problem with recessed cans!

what settings do you use for the render? use just light fixture not using the Sun.

also, upload the family it might be without a light.

try inserting another light family (use only interior lights for render) is it working?

eldados - rendering with artificial lights only did help.  I've uploaded both the fixture and a new rendering.

Is it not possible to rendor sun & artificial?  I don't like the black windows - not going for the "night" look!

thanks for your help

the sun is millions of candle lights strong, the artificial are a few candle light strong, Revit just ignores the little lights when rendering together with the sun.

you may increase the strength of your lights but this is not advisable.

best thing is to render 2 images, one only sun and the other only artificial lights, take to Photoshop, copy paste one image on top of the other and use the "Exclusion" layer option (from memory)
