I'm working in a file where steel and concrete structural columns have been placed on the column grids. Once placed they were aligned and locked to the appropriate grids. Upon exiting and reopening the file it's been noticed that some of the columns have moved somewhat. Usually it's just a matter of inches. I've also noticed that when selecting structural columns for editing that a blue circle appears once the column is highlighted and this circle can be moved independently of the column it's associated with. Question #1 - Does anyone know what would cause the columns to move and how to prevent the movement from happening? Question #2 - What is the purpose of the blue circle?

Looks like a bug in Revit AFAIK, if you move walls that are attached to the grid, the columns will move as well...
as to the second Q, what blue circle? I could not see it
