Create parameters called thickness, length, width and area.  Apply a formula to area using height x width.  Apply a formaula to thickness called area / required factor.  The thickness will adjust according to the area.

Glass generally comes in specific thicknesses though, so you may have to create an additional formula to show specific thicknesses.
