I know that when an object changes or moves, the lineweights don't always stay, which is a pain in the butt but whatever.  I'm working on something that's adjacent to an existing building - the building can be seen beyond.  I've created an "extra thin" lineweight and applied it to the building beyond to gray it out.  Some of these gray lines of the buliding beyond are going back to the default thin line which is too dark, even though the building isn't changing in any way.  So, i'm having to reapply and reapply and reapply... i'm about to lose it!

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

I have not yet experienced the lineweights changing when an object moves - strange.  Use the overide graphics in view function rather than the linework tool to achieve what you want.  You can also just set those walls to halftone to create a grayed out effect.

And also when I click on a line to change the lineweight, nothing happens until i grab the blue dot and move it around.  Then the gray line shows up.  And it's funny because the line weight lines are in the same place I put them before, but the actual gray line is gone.

Anyway, so in order to use the override graphics function on these existing walls, would it be a phase filter thing?  How exactly would I go about doing that?

Thanks.

Right click on the wall, Override graphics in view, Elements, and change whatever you want.
