Well Trand, insert a "component" M-RPC in the project and then pick and go to the properties and Edit, then change the image for the new one, but first change the name of your Rpc to start "Archvision<name you want>" and copy to the same folder you have the RPC from Revit.....

Mean :

I rename my file : Archvision-aa.rpc or Archvisionaa ?

I must take this file to folder

C:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2009\Data\Rendering\assetlibrary_base.fbm\RPCs

Allright ?

1º point: "Archvision-aa.rpc" - YES, put the Archvision first then name and extension ".rpc"

2º point:  "I must take this file to folder

C:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2009\Data\Rendering\assetlibrary_base.fbm\RPCs " - YES

hello there i have a question about the rpc file.I have some cars that i used in my renderings that are rpc files.in the revit 2008 they worked fine but when i use them in 2009 some of them do not look ok.The color of the cars is not showing up or showing faded except of the tires that look ok.i pasted them in the rpc folder of the revit 2009 and i renamed them as TYPHOON suggested.I know that i am doing it right because some of them work very nice....

it is very strange because the tires look. Are there other settings in the material editor that i have to adjust?

i do not have a picture of what i am saying but i could make one and upload it.

i would be grateful if someone could help me...

thanks in advance

katsmarios

Trandung, No, i'm not Spanish, I'm Portuguese, that family "double door (Porta_2_Folhas_c_vidros_4086)" it was made 2 years ago with Revit 9.1, in that time i was start with families and i thought i Know everything about that, i'm Wrong, there aren't 100% parametric, when i have time i take a look.

Katsmarios, only seing the family i can tell you but the RPC's of the older versions sometimes have issues that's why there are in Archvision Rpc's from 2008 and 2009, so....

thanks TYPHOON FOR THE REPLY.

I will try to make a rendering and i will post it here so you can take a look at it.

But i think you are right about the compatibility of RPC FILES in the two versions of revit.

In my opinion the rpc files should work in all versions of revit because at the archvision site they do not have categories of rpc files for different program versions. (like ArchVision RPC Parking Lot Cars vol 1 2007 or 2008 or 2009 etc....).

If this is true then we have to buy new rpc files every time autodesk changes the program.(if we can not make our own rps files-like me)
