I inserted a DWG file, re-traced the walls, got the appropriate height. Went to roof, by footprint, used the line option, traced with a 24" overhang, went to element props and changed the pitch to 12"/12", used the slope arrow command and brought to the two corners to the middle on both ends but it will not allow me to make the gable "Can't make footprint roof" is the error. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
