Does anyone know how to turn OFF the default "earth" hatch that appears below the topo line when cut in section or elevation?
I wish to show my ground lines "clean" below the surface, without any hatching, but I cannot find a way to turn off the default earth hatching. I do use a white filled region to mask this hatching, but that seems so clumsy if I could just turn it off.
Any suggestions?

The hatching you see is controlled by the "cut pattern" of the material you assigned to your topo. Go to that material and simply choose a cut pattern of "no pattern" and you should get what you are after.

This is controlled in your Settings-->Site Settings-->Section Cut Material
And poche depth, simply change here to get rid of the cut pattern.
