i have an urgent question... this is e scenario im doing loading plans for a hospital.. basically like furniture plans for each individual soace and then i want to be able to tag all the neccy items in each space.. now i am tagging not just furniture but also plumbing equip and elect equip.. they are beig taged as simple nos... now wat im trying to do is for each plan give a number(thats not specific to the type but changeable in every plan) to each item that i wuld want to appear eventually in my BOQ.. now on each sheet that i have i want to be able to have a schedule specific to that space and place it on the sheet shwing the neccy info.. now i figure out a way to make the furniture tags work for furniture but i somehow overlooked the plumbing and elect items... wat i have rite now is that for the tag i set the mark to be shown and i give each type a specific description and type mark, so that in the future i can go back adn edit these items once and everything will be updated automatically... wat my problem is: firstly ow do i get te schedule showing the tagged details t work? and is there a way i can put a tag without it being specific to just furniture or plumbing etc and also have it appear as a schedule? another thing that i tried was to create parameters in the title block itself and put that on the sheet and hoped tat the parameters ot updated automatically except i dont know how to get it to reference the tags in the view.. i wld apreciate annnny help available.. the sooner the better as i have a 24 hr deadline to meet!!! thankx in advance

Something you may want to take a look at is a "multi-category" schedule. In the attached JPG I have items from three different categories scheduled. The other thing you might want to consider is whether or not the items you are placing in each room really need to belong to different categories. Maybe you change all the family categories to the same type. Depends though on what your final needs are. HTH Tom

To get the schedule to appear only for a particular space, you are going to have to apply a filter to the schedule. If all of your spaces are rooms, you can filter by room number. If a space is comprised of more than one room, then you will have to add a shared paremeter called space number or something and share that parameter with the room tag, then fill in the space number into each collection of rooms that you need to and filter by it. Unfortunately, if you have 50 spaces, you are going to need 50 schedules each with a different filter. I would get the first schedule to be exactly formated like you want it then duplicate it and just change the filter in the duplicate (49 times for 50 rooms). I don't know of any way to automate this process in Revit. HTH Tom

i got the tags created as multi category and get them to be the way i want. now my problem is bringing the chedule on to my sheets. because its basically like a legen that i wanna bring in on every sheet. so i thought the best ay is to do ti as schedule. but the thing is in the list it shows even doors that i havent tagged. itried to filter it but i cant seem to filter it by type. how do i have it not show on ym shcedule? also instead of a schedule is it possible for me to create parameters in my title block itself and haev it reference that space and brin gup the info? as always deadlines are ever present so a quick response wld be greatlllly appreciated
